C. Cripe - Benjamin C. Cripe died this morning at 12:30 at his residence about three miles east of Goshen on the Fish Lake road, aged 89 years. He is survived by six children, all of whom were at his bedside at the time of his death. Mary E. Kauffman of Williston, N. D.; Amos S. of Near Emma LaGrange county; John D., Jacob R. and Martin V of Clinton township and Allen F. of Goshen. There are twenty-four grand children and forty-seven great grandchildren. He was the oldest of a family of seventeen children, eight of whom survive him, four brothers and four sisters. They are Jacob and Solomon of Clinton township, Noah and Tobias of Gosshen, Mrs. Fanny Werner, Mrs. John Hoovens and Mrs. Adam Keifer, also of Goshen, and Mrs. Martin Boone of Etna Green, Ind. Deceased came to this county from Montgomery county, Ohio, at the age of ten years. He married at the age of 20, and had resided on the farm where he died for the past seventy years. The funeral will be conducted from the Berkey church in West Goshen, Wednesday morning at 10:30, leaving the house at 9:30 o'clock.
