The deceased was a life long resident of Elkhart County and was very well and favorably known. He was a member of the Brethren. Surviving are his wife, Catherine, two daughters, Mrs. eorge Cramer and Mrs. J. J. Cripe, both of Dunlap, two sons, James M. Cripe of Toledo, Ohio and William H Cripe of Harper Oregon, one brother, Tobias Cripe of this city, three sisters, Mrs. John Werner, Mrs. John Oovens, and Mrs. Adam Kiefer, all of this city.
