Elkhart Truth 7 Feb 1934
Emanuel Cripe, 67, died this morning at his home, four and a half miles north 
of Elkhart on the Adamsville road, from paralysis, with which he was stricken 
a week ago.  Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the First 
Brethren Church at New Paris, in charge of the Rev. E. W. Rench.  Burial will 
be in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Goshen.  He was born 3 Jul 1866 in Elkhart County 
and married Edith E Myers on 14 May 1903.  He lived in New Paris practically 
all his life until eight years ago when he moved to the farm where he died.  
He was a member of the First Brethren Church at Goshen.  The wife and 11 
nieces and nephews survive.
