Elkhart Truth 2 Dec 1938
Oliver S. Cripe, 63, died this morning at his home, four and a half miles 
north of Nappanee where he had been bedfast for six weeks ill with diabetes.  
He was born 6 Oct 1875 in Union twp, son of Levi and Rebecca Cripe.  He leaves 
his wife, Nora Pletcher Cripe, whom he married 1 Jan 1898 and two daughters, 
Mrs. Grover Wineland of Constantine, MI and Mrs. Robert grove of Wakarusa; 
four grandchidlren, two great grandchildren and a brother, Francis Cripe.  
Funeral services will be Sunday at Union Center Church of the Brethren where 
he was a member, with  Rev. John Frederick and Rev. David Miller officiating 
with burial in adjoining cemetery.
