Norma Ann Gold January 26, 1928-March 15, 2011

Norma Ann Gold, 83, of Elkhart, Indiana died on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at St.
Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka. She was born in Elkhart, Indiana,
the oldest daughter of William and Clara (Dunafin) Berry, on January 26, 1928.
She married John W. Gold on November 3, 1959. He preceded her in death on
January 19, 1986. She is survived by 4 sons, Berry (Rhonda) Bowser, Jerry
(Deliah) Bowser both of Messick, Michigan, John (Andy Skwiercz) Gold of Elkhart,
IN and Jack (Lisa) Gold of Constantine, Michigan, 3 daughters Jan Donnely
(Duane) of Elkhart, Billie Dohse, both of Elkhart, IN and Jennifer (Tom) Stuck
of Landsdale, PA, 26 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great
Grandchildren. She is also survived by 2 sisters, Dorothy Daum and Mickie
Rosemary Chandler, An aunt, Marcelle Phelps of Elkhart, 2 sisters in laws, Norma
Jane Berry and Naomi Davis and many nieces and nephews. Norma was well known for
her baking and canning winning many State Fair Blue ribbons for each, while
living in the White Pigeon and Constantine Michigan areas. She was well known
for her handicrafts. In 1971 she constructed in her home in Constantine,
Michigan, a waterfall fireplace in honor of the Vietnam Veterans. She was sent
rocks for this from servicemen, dignitaries and celebrities around the world.
Norma was an avid supporter of the Osolo Fire Department in Elkhart, Indiana.
She would have liked memorial contributions to the Osolo Fire Department in
Elkhart, IN. Visitation for Norma will be at Walley-Millls-Zimmerman Funeral
Home on Thursday (March 17, 2011) from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and also 6:00 to 8:00
p.m. The service will be at the funeral home on Friday (March 18, 2011) at 11:00
a.m. with Pastor Dick Dunn presiding. Burial will follow in Rice Cemetery.
