Mr. Hepler was born near Nappanee and spent his entire life in this neighborhood. He was born on April 6, 1873 the son of Jacob and Nancie Moore Hepler. On November 10, 1909 he was married to Grace Dennis Thomas who survives him. The couple made their home in Nappanee where he worked in the Coppes factory. To this union there was born one son, Raymond, who now makes his home in Indianapolis. Mr. Hepler is survived by his wife and son; two step-children, Chester and Esther Thomas of South Bend; two brothers, Albert of Nappanee and Dan of California and a step-brother, Ervin Hepler of Elkhart; Mrs. Roy Young, Mrs. Sam Sechrist and Mrs. Jacob Bollman are all sisters of the deceased and all live in Nappanee. Mr. Hepler is also survived by his step-mother, Amelia Hepler of Elkhart. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church Wednesday afternoon under the direction of Rev. R. H. Wehrly and burial was in the Union Center cemetery. Mr. Hepler had been a life long member of the Methodist church. He was also a member of the Iaceabes lodge.
