Elkhart Truth, 19 Jan 1935
Nappanee - LaMar Hepler, 14 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Hepler of four 
miles south of Nappanee, died this morning in the Epworth Hospital in South 
Bend. He had been ill for six months with meningitis.  He was born on August 
25, 1920 at Nappanee.  His mother is the former Gladys Rinehart.  Surviving 
are his parents, his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Noah Rinehart, his paternal 
grandfather, Jack Hepler and a brother Charles at home.  The body will be at 
the home until the hour of the funeral at 2:30 p.m. (dst) Saturday at the 
Hepton church.  The Rev. H. S. Berger of New Paris, will officiate.  Burial 
will be in the adjoining cemetery.
