She is survived by her father, five brothers, Bennie, Arthur, Edward, Fred and Floyd and one sister, Mrs. Robert Spicher of this city. Funeral services will be held today (Thursday) at 2 o'clock at the Hepton Union church with the Rev. John Jones of Mt. Tabor Church of God officiating, assisted by the Rev. Charles E. Manes of Columbia City, Ind., and interment will be in the Hepton Union cemetery under the direction of Undertaker A. E. Wright. Elkhart Truth, 7 Aug 1935: Nappanee - Miss Mary Matilda Hepler, 43, died Tuesday morning at her home in R. R. 2, Nappanee, following a two years illness of cancer. She had been bedfast three days. Miss Hepler is the daughter of Franklin and Sarah Ellen (Gardner) Hepler, was born January 29, 1892, and has lived at the present home all her life. She is survived by her father, five brothers, Bennie, Arthur, Fred, Edward and Floyd Hepler all of Nappanee, and a sister, Mrs. Robert Spicher, Nappanee. The body will lie in state at the home until the funeral, which will be held at the Hepton church at 2 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. John Jones, pastor of the Mt. Tabor Church of God, assisted by the Rev. Charles E. Manes, pastor of Columbia City Church of God, will officiate. Burial will be in the Hepton Union cemetery.
