Hepler, 66, died at 4:20 p.m. Sunday at his home four miles southwest of Nappanee. He had been ill more than three years. The body may be viewed at the home up to the hour of the funeral service which will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Hepton Union church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The services will be conducted by the Rev. Jerome Kaufman of St. John's Lutheran church of Nappanee. The deceased had been a member of that church since boyhood. Mr. Hepler was born in Kosciusko County, Jan. 7, 1873, the son of Samuel C. and Amanda (Briten) Hepler. His marriage to Florence Irene Smith took place Dec. 25, 1900.
