Cottage Ave. from influenza after an illness of 10 days. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Cripe and widow of John J. Hoovens who died in 1914. She was a member of Church of the Brethren. Surviving are a son, Amasa G. Hoovens of Goshen, seven daughters: Mrs. Amos J. Hoover, Goshen, Mrs. J. Cline, New Baltimore, MI, Mrs. Jay Dutter, Hollywood CA, Mrs. Allen Biddle, Osseo MI, Mrs. Maude Mohaffey, Hastings, NE, Miss Madge Hoovens, Goshen and Mrs. Caleb Enex, Chicago, 14 grandchildren three great grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Niel of Goshen. Burial in Rock Run Cemetery. Services Friday at home with Rev. T E George officiating.
