All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm Submitted by: BeverlyJo@aol.com ************************************************************************ 03/18/1920 - Joseph NUSBAUM - FARMER DIES SUDDENLY WHILE AT WORK IN BARN - Joseph NUSBAUM, 59, Weakened by Influenza, Expires Soon After Complaining of Being Tired - Joseph NUSBAUM, aged 56, living NE of Wakarusa, died suddenly in his barn Sat afternoon of heart failure. Mr NUSBAUM had suffered from influenza this winter and never fully recovered. He is survived by his wife and a daughter, Mrs Elmer PLETCHER of Wakarusa, brother Amos NUSBAUM, and three sisters, Mrs John BILLMAN of near Wakarusa, and Mrs MILLER and Mrs RULE of Goshen. Another daughter, Miss Clara NUSBAUM, aged 27, died last winter. Mr NUSBAUM was working in the barn with a 15 year old boy who lived with him for several years. He complained of feeling tired and sat down. He fainted immediately and the boy tried to lift him and talk to him, but he was already dead. Services were held Wed forenoon at Yellow Creek Dunkard Church, Rev H> M. Schwalm officiating.
