Mr. PLETCHER was apparently in his usual health in the morning and after breakfast went to the stable to do his customary chores. He then returned to the house and was rocking his grandchild in a cradle when Mrs. Frank PLETCHER, his daughter-in-law, with whom he resided, thought that she noticed something peculiar about the old gentleman. She approached him and asked what was wrong, but received no response. Five minutes later the last spark of life had gone out and Mr. PLETCHER died without uttering a word or showing any evidence of pain. He had not complained of feeling sick and had been in unusually good health. A doctor was called in but an examination revealed the fact that nothing could be done as the body was already cold in death. Deceased leaves five sons and four daughters. Mrs. PLETCHER died about nine months ago. Coroner Eisenbeiss is today holding an inquest over the remains. It is supposed that heart disease was the cause of the demise. Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10 o'clock from the Olive church leaving the house at shortly before that hour.
