Floyd Co Indiana , obit. McINTOSH, John from the weekly, the  "Postal Press" 2 APR 1907 p5c1 (New Albany, Floyd County, Indiana)    John McINTOSH, for many years proprietor of the Commercial Hotel in this city, died Monday at his home, 417 Upper Main street, at the age of eighty-nine years.  He leaves an aged wife to whom he was married sixty-nine years ago and one daughter, Miss Emma McINTOSH and two sons, Andrew McINTOSH, of Indianapolis, and James McINTOSH, of Louisville.  He was one of the oldest residents of this city.  He had been practically blind for a number of years.  He was in the hotel business in this city for half a century or more.  His funeral will take place to-morrow morning from the family home and the body will be taken to Galena, eight miles north of New Albany, to be laid to rest in the family burial plot.  He was a member of one of the pioneer famililes, his parents having settled in Southern Indiana in the early years of the last Century. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- USGENWEB NOTICE: These electronic pages may NOT be reproduced in any format for profit or presentation by other organization or persons.
