OLD RESIDENT
                   PASSES AWAY

Mrs. Katherine Petery, 81, a Native
   of City Dies at Her Home King
                  Street

  Mrs. Katherine E. Petery, 81 widow
 of William H. Petery, a lifelong resi-
dent of this city died at 1:50 o'clock 
yesterday afternoon, at her home, 1611
King street, where she had been ill
for a long time.  She was born here
her parents having been Mr. and Mrs.
Nicholus Blessing, and she was a 
member of Trinity Methodist Episco-
pal C\church.  She is survived by a son
Nelson R. Petery, and three daugh-
ters, Mrs. Oliver W. Daniel; Miss
Kate A. Petery, all of New Albany.
Furneral services will be held at 2
o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the 
residence and the burial will be in
Fairview Cemetery.
     The funeral will be held at the fam-
ily residence at 2 o'clock tomorrow
afternoon and the burial will be in
Fairview cemetery will be private.
