W. Beckwith (1881) Charles Kerr, farmer, Newtown, was born in Richland township, March 2, 1856. He is the son of Samuel and Virginia (Dagger) Kerr. On September 30, 1879, he was married to Miss Edith, daughter of William and Sarah N. (Persing) Gray. She was born in Newtown, May 10, 1858. They are both communicants in the Presbyterian church, and he is a republican.
