Soldiers From Fountain County In The Mexican War
MILITARY RECORD.

   The people of Fountain county have always proved themselves true to the
obligations which their citizenship imposed upon them, and when their country has
had need of men to do battle in its behalf, they have always responded to the call.
When soldiers were wanted for the Mexican war, the following names were enrolled
from Fountain county:

   Many of these sleep their last sleep upon Mexican battle-fields; others returned
to die at home, among friends and kindred, and a few remain with us yet.
