Carl Hattie M. CARL, 97, Huntington, died Thursday at the Heritage of Huntington. Survivors include two brothers, Albert Eshelman and Estle Jay Eshelman, and one sister, Marie Horn. Her funeral service was 11 a.m. today at Bailey-Love Mortuary, Huntington. Tuesday, March 8, 2005 Hattie M. Carl Jan. 20, 1908–March 3, 2005 Hattie M. CARL died Thursday at the Heritage of Huntington. She was born Jan. 20, 1908, to Clarence and Evaline Clemans Eshelman. Her marriage was May 31, 1969, to Homer G. Carl Sr. He died Dec. 17, 1983. Survivors include two stepsons, Homer G. Carl Jr., Huntington, and J.C. Carl, Goshen; three stepdaughters, Janice Eller, Thais Wilhelm and Catherine Stayner, all of Huntington; 19 stepgrandchildren, 36 stepgreat-grandchildren and 11 stepgreat-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. One sister, Marie Horn, two brothers, Albert Eshelman and Estle Jay Eshelman, and one stepdaughter, Phyllis Ziegler, preceded her in death. Her funeral service was Monday at Bailey-Love Mortuary, Huntington, with burial at Akron Cemetery.
