Fanning Elma Marie FANNING, 88, of 19989 State Road 331, Tippecanoe, died at 12:06 p.m. Tuesday at Bremen Community Hospital. She had been in failing health for six months. She was born April 27, 1902 in Deedsville, Miami county, to J.D. and Nellie MAZE WINTERROWD. She lived most of her life in the Tippecanoe community. On March 20, 1926 near Argos she married Harold FANNING, who died Aug. 27, 1977. She was a member of the Walnut Church of the Brethren. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Delbert (Gene) EPLER, Plymouth, and Carol MINIX, North Las Vegas, Nev.; a son, Jay [FANNING], Taylors, S.C.; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Alta BEST and Mrs. Denzil (Waunita) ELLIOTT, both of Plymouth, and Delta SCHROME, Bremen, and two brothers, Wayne and Max [WINTERROWD], both of Rochester. Preceding in death was a brother, George [WINTERROWD]. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Grossman Funeral Home, Argos, with the Revs. Wilbur FISCHER and Amond WENGER officiating. Burial will be in the Walnut Church of the Brethren Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday. Memorials may be made to the Walnut Church of the Brethren.
