Monday, January 12, 1931
Sanford Edgar FINNEY, 58, life-long resident of the Argos community, died 
Sunday morning in his home two miles southwest of Argos. Death followed an 
illness of one year.

The deceased was the son of John and Alzina FINNEY and was born on a farm in 
Marshall County, March 15, 1873. He was married to Anna HAYNES who died 20 
years ago.

Surviving are his mother, Mrs. John HARRIS, of Winfield, Kansas; two sons, 
John FINNEY, of San Francisco, and Carl FINNEY, of South Bend, one brother, 
Carl FINNEY, Culver, and three sisters, Mrs. James ALVEY, South Bend, Mrs. 
William KLINE, Culver and  Mrs. L. L. MILLER, Argos.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at one o’clock at the Argos 
Christian church. Burial will be made in South Bend.
