McHatton April 10, 1893 - May 12, 1995 Eva F. McHATTON, 102, formerly of Akron, died at 5:50 p.m. Friday at Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw. She was born in Ostrander, Ohio, to Allison W. and Bertha SUMME SWICK. On Feb. 15, 1913 she married Irvin M. McHATTON, who died Jan. 4, 1961. She lived in Elkhart from 1924 to 1936 and moved to Akron where she was a co-founder of McHatton Furniture Store. She was a member of the Akron Church of God and the Home Economics Club. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Lester (Thelma) PORTER, Danville, and Mrs. Elizabeth SAUSAMAN, Akron; one son, Gerald E. [McHATTON], Warsaw; thirteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren, and four great- great-grandchildren. Preceding in death were two sons, William [McHATTON], who died in 1982, and Rex [McHATTON], who died this year; five sisters and one brother. Services were at 1 p.m. today at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with the Rev. James MALBONE officiating. Burial will be in the Akron Cemetery. Visitation was before services today.
