Edna Irene Sicks
Nov. 20, 1918 - June 4, 1997
Edna Irene SICKS, 78, 22 Third St., Hartford City, die 6:46 p.m. Wednesday in 
home.
She was born Nov. 20, 1918 in Fulton County to Roy and Dessie KARNS LANDIS. 
She graduated from Akron High School in 1936. She married William E. SICKS on 
Sept. 1, 1937 in Peru. He survives.
She lived in Hartford City since 1958 and retired from 3-M Company in 1979 
after 18 years of employment.
Also surviving are one son, Gary SICKS and his wife Ann, Hartford City; one 
daughter, Beth BAILEY and her husband Fred, Hartford City; 12 grandchildren, 
Terrie MOORE, Debra COLE, Julie FARBER, Angela FIGHTS, Kem BAILEY, Wendy LEE, 
Cheryl SNYDER, Bill SICKS, and Christy KNOX, Hartford City, Donna PIERCE, El 
Paso, Texas, Tina OXFORD, Texas, and Robin WILLIAMS, Montpelier; 27 
greatgrandchildren and one greatgreat grandchild. She wAs preceded in death by 
one daughter, Norma McKEE.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. 
Washington St., Hartford City. Burial will be in Akron Cemetery, with 
graveside services at 1 p.m. Saturday. There will be no visitation. Memorials 
may be made to Ball Memorial Hospital Hospice, Muncie.
