Shirley J. Slyh

                Shirley J. SLYH, 51, of 825 Lakeshore Drive, Culver, died at 
4:50 a.m. Friday in South Bend Memorial Hospital.

                Born April 24, 1939 at Sidney, Ohio, to Theodore ad Carrie 
TRITTSCHUH ALTHOFF, she married Donald L. SLYH at Sidney on June 17, 1961.  He 
survives.  She was the business education teacher at Culver Community High 
School.

                She moved to Culver in 1974 from Dayton, Ohio.  She was a 1961 
graduate of Miami (Ohio) University and a member of Culver Grace United Church 
of Christ and the Gamma Phi Beta and Kappa Kappa Kappa sororities.

                Surviving with her husband are a daughter, Carrie L. SLYH, 
Indianapolis; two sons, Rodney T. and Daniel P. [SLYH], both at home; her 
father, Theodore ALTHOFF, Sidney, and a brother, Robert T. ALTHOFF, Covington, 
Ohio.

                Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Culver Grace United 
Church of Christ with the Rev. Donald WAGNER officiating.  Friends may call at 
the Bonine Funeral Home, Culver, from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 p.m. 
Sunday.  Kappa Kappa Kappa will conduct memorial services at 8 p.m. Sunday at 
the funeral home.  Burial will be in the Culver Masonic Cemetery.  Memorials 
may be made to Culver Grace United Church of Christ or the American Lung 
Association
