Summe Zelma Marie SUMME, 85, formerly of 1314 Jackson Blvd., died at 6:05 p.m. Wednesday in Canerbury Manor Nursing Home, where she had lived since 1981. She was born Feb. 28, 1902 in Franklin Township, Kosciusko County to Orlando and Pearl BLUE MEREDITH. She had lived in the Rochester area fo 30 years, having come from the Burket and Akron communities. She was married Dec. 25, 1920 in Mentone to A. Lloyd SUMME, who died in 1965. She received her teaching certificate from Valparaiso University. She taught in Culver and Sidney. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, Rochester, and a former member of the Rochester Home Economics Club. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Richard (LaDonna) RADER, Akron, and Mrs. Robert (Wanda) BIRMINGHAM, Boca Raton, Fla.; a granddaughter, Candice RADER, Akron; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. J.T. (Margaret) FROST, North Webster. Preceding her in death were a grandson, David HUDSON, and a brother, Lewis MEREDITH. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Foster & Good Funeral Home in Akron with the Rev. Merlyn COX officiating. Burial will be in the Akron Cemetery. Friendss may call from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until services Saturday.
