Lela J. Thrush

                Lela J. THRUSH, 91, formerly of 314 W. 11th St., Rochester, 
died at 7:22 p.m. Monday at Peabody Retirement Home, North Manchester, where 
she had lived since 1982.

                She was born Jan. 18, 1900 in Pulaski County to Robert M. and 
Sarah MURRAY THOMAS.  She moved from Grass Creek to Rochester in 1933.  On 
Dec. 6, 1919 in Grass Creek she married Lotus T. THRUSH, who died April 2, 
1973.  She was a graduate of Grass Creek High School, a 50-year member of the 
Eastern Star and a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

                Surviving are two daughters, Betty JENKINS, Rochester, and 
Shirley ANDERSON, Logansport; six grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren, 
and three great-great-grandchildren.  Preceding in death were two daughters, 
Vivian SCHEID and Mary [ELLITHORP]; a sister, and two brothers.

                Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Zimmerman Brothers 
Funeral Home, Rochester, with the Rev. Jack HARTMAN officiating.  Burial will 
be in the Rochester I.O.O.F. Cemetery.  Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. 
Wednesday and after 10 a.m. Thursday.  The Eastern Star will conduct a 
memorial service at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
