Rochester Chronicle, May 12, 1864:  FROM THE 46th. Grand Ecore, La., April 12, 
1864....  Co. K suffered heavier than any other company. The following is a 
list of the casualties of Co K: Killed, Lieut. John McCLUNG and private Thomas 
SCOTT. 
Rochester Chronicle, August 18, 1864: Died...At Pleasant Hill, Louisiana, 
April 8th, 1864, Thomas W. SCOTT, of the 26th Ind Vols., being instantly 
killed in battle.
