Thelma Morrett Craig
Mrs. Thelma (LUKENS) MORRETT CRAIG, 70, Akron, died at 12:30 a.m. today at her 
home of a heart attack; death was unexpected. She had been ill for six months.
She was born July 9, 1904, in Wabash county to George and Bertha MORRETT 
LUKENS and had resided all her life in Fulton county. She was married Nov. 15, 
1919, in Wabash to Wilbur MORRETT, who died in 1960. On June 23, 1968, she 
married Oren CRAIG, who died in 1974. She was a member of the Akron Church of 
God, the Missionary Society, the WCTU and the Lincoln Ladies Aid.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Asa (Mildred) HINES, North Manchester, and 
Mrs. Robert (Marjorie) HOFFMAN, Claypool; six grandchildren; two great-
grandchildren; two brothers, Charles LUKENS, North Manchester, and William 
LUKENS, Dowagiac, Mich.; two step-daughters, Mrs. Dorris (Mildred) HARROLD, 
Akron and Mrs. Ray (Susie) RILEY, Kokomo; two step-sons, William CRAIG, Akron 
and George CRAIG, Newcastle township.
Two brothers preceded in death.
Rites will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Akron Church of God with the Rev. J. 
D. THOMASON officiating. Burial will be in the Akron cemetery. Friends may 
call at the Sheetz funeral home in Akron aftr 4 p.m. Monday until noon Tuesday 
and at the church for an hour before services.
