Wheeler Mother: Emma Hill (Obituary from paper Saturday, April 30, 1949) Henry Wheeler, died April 29, 1949 Funeral Director Dies at his Home in Ft. Branch Henry Wheeler, 58, well known Ft. Branch funeral director, died at 3 p.m. yesterday at his home here. He had been ill for a year. Mr. Wheeler was born near Lynnville and came to Ft. Branch with his parents in 1909. He had been associated with his father, Samuel in the Wheeler funeral home for nearly forty-years. He was a member of the Ft. Branch Masonic lodge. Surviving are the wife, Alice (Welton), his father, Samuel, and three sisters, Mrs. Flora Karnes, Mrs. Tropha Coon and Miss Bertha Wheeler of Indianapolis. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Methodist Church with Rev. Temas Taylor and Rev. A. L. Beatty officiating. Burial will be in the Walnut Hill cemetery. Mr. Wheeler is at the residence on Main Street here where friends may call.
