Der Christliche Botschafter, 7 Dec 1870, Cleveland, Ohio
Died in the joyous hope of eternal life on the 17th November near Sommersville, 
Gibson Co., Indiana, Sister Maria, wife of Karl Kohlmeier, born Stunkel.  She 
died at the age of 22y 11m and 22d in child-bed, after a severe but short 
illness which she bore with Christian fortitude.  About 5 years ago she was 
converted to dedicating her life to God and was always a true & exemplary 
sister, who used her life to serve God, yes almost with a single purpose to 
remain constant to God.  May she, as her separated soul departs, hold to a new 
love of God and have new comrades and friends. She leaves behind a grief-
stricken husband and many kindred to mourn her early departure. May the love of 
God richly comfort everyone.  H. L. Fischer.
