THE SCHOOLS ----------- BAILEY SCHOOL - Located slightly NE of Highway 57, about 1 mile from the Oakland City limits on the road known in later years as the Dewey Mason Road. HARPER SCHOOL - Located SW of Oakland City on the E side of the junction of Highway 57 and County Road 250 S. at the Oak Hill community. JENKINS SCHOOL - Located aobut 3 miles NW of Oakland City, near Friendship Church -- just W of the intersection of County Roads 1050 E. and 000. McCULLOUGH SCHOOL - Located SE of Oakland City -- just off Jackson Street Road, about 3 miles from the city limit sign. MONTGOMERY SCHOOL - Located slightly SE of the present Montgomery Cemetery. MULBERRY SCHOOL - Located about 1/2 mile W of County Road 950, just off County Road 400 S. REID SCHOOL - Located just ouside the corporation of Oakland City on the W, facing Lincoln Heights Road. STUMPBURG (LINCOLN HEIGHTS) SCHOOL - Approximately 1 mile from the city limits of Oakland City.
