Wheeler Civil War Veterans of
 Gibson County, Indiana


    James Wheeler had been a veteran of
the Americal Revolution war, having served
under Henry Lee, father of the famed Robert
E. Lee General of the Civil War.  Several of
the grandsons, great-grandsons of James
Wheeler served from Indiana on the side of
the Union. The following Wheelers and related
families are listed in the History of Gibson
