WILL OF SARAH WHEELER, WIFE OF SAMUEL WHEELER Samuel Wheeler and Sarah have probate records for their estate in Gibson County court records. They married in Daviess County, Indiana. Samuel Wheeler owned land (240 acres) in Section 20, Township 3 Range 12 of Gibson County. He died in February 1858. There is a bill for a coffin for $9.00 dated 1 March 1858. There is an inventory of personal property in the record; a record of sale and a lisiting of property taken by the widow, Sarah. Sarah Wheeler's will is dated 26 April 1859 as follows" State of Indiana, Gibson County I, Sarah Wheeler of Montgomery township in said County, being old and infirm but of a sound mind make this my last will and testament herby revoking all others by me formerly made. First. After my death my will and wish is that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid. I then will and bequeath to my son 1Hardin P. Wheeler one-half of my real estate after my death. The remainder of my real estate and personal estate I will and bequeath to the remainder of my heirs to be equally divided amongst them, to wit: William H. Wheeler, Thomas J. Wheeler, Lewis H. Wheeler, John C. F. Wheeler. Sarah [X] Wheeler This 26th day of April 1859 I furthermore constitute and appoint William Pollard of Gibson County my executor after my death. Signed and sealed and delivered in presence of us this 26th day of April 1859.
