NULL CEMETERY

    Some say this is not the Null Cemetery while others are just as
    positive that the name is correct.  Be that as it may it is another
    of the rapidly disappearing family burying grounds of the early day.
    Located a mile or more north west of Marion on the Wabash Pike,
    a few rods to the west on the Lawson farm.  The roadway is several
    feet lower and one would little suspect that another of God's Acres
    lay above surrounded by trees and shrubs.  Many graves are in this
    plot but few stones can be seen.
    The above was written by the DAR in the 1940's.
    This cemetery is located on the Lawson Road, just west of Indiana State
    Road 15, in Pleasant Township 25 N. R. 7 E. in the N.E. 1/4 of the S.W.
    1/4 of Section 25.  You leave Marion on Ind. 15, go to the Lawson Road,
    turn left on Lawson, proceed about 1/4 of a mile west you will see a
    drive heading back south. Just west of the drive is a bluff or knoll
    rather high above the road.  This is the Null Cemetery.  I have been
    to this spot a couple of times without finding it.  It is not very
    obvious.  I only found one gravestone here.  I believe at one time
    there probably were many stones on this knoll.  The DAR - 50 years ago -
    only found four graves.  I spoke to the owner of this plot of ground.
    He gave me the impression he didn't know the cemetery was there.
    I persuaded him to get his abstract out, and the whole top of this hill
    is designated as a cemetery.  He promised to look into, getting it
    cleaned up and designated as a cemetery.

Cain,
*   Mary E. wife of J.A. Cain died Jan. 6, 1872 aged 27y.11m.9d.
Harmon,
*   Mary C. wife of J.N. Harmon died Nov. 10, 1861 aged 33y.9m.18d.
Lamar,
*   Henrietta dau of T.J. Lamar died July 31, 1851 aged 1y.1m.13d.
Lewis,
    Joseph K. son of J. & B. Lewis died March 12, 1851 aged 11y.6m.25d.
        NOTE:  This is the only stone I located in this cemetery.
