KEITH, Assessor of Taylor Township, was born in Knox County, Ohio in 1854, and is a son of Warren C. and Elizabeth (Chambers) Keith. He received a fair education in the common schools, and at twenty years of age began doing for himself. In 1877, he became a resident of Greene County and located in Taylor Township, where he engaged in agricultural pursuits. In 1880, he was elected Assessor of his township, and as such served one full term. By the resignation of Mr. Dickey, who was the Assessor for 1883, the County Auditor appointed Mr. Keith to fill this vacancy, and in this capacity he is now serving. He was married to Mrs. Cora Moore, widow of James Moore, in 1877, and two children have blessed their union—Annie G. and W. W. Mr. Keith is a member of the Baptist Church, a Republican and one of the enterprising and progressive men of Taylor Township.
