Item 1...I commend my immortal being to God who gave it with full confidence that my spirit is destined to a state of eternal happiness in the world to come. Item 2...It is my will that my executor hereinafter appointed shall as soon as convenient after my decease pay all my just debts and funeral expenses. Item 3...It is my will and desire that my children; Thomas J. Sarver, George A. Sarver, John H. Sarver, Meredith Sarver, Elizabeth Workman and Nancy Vanskirt take nothing under this my last will and testament. Item 4...I will and bequeath to my beloved wife Elizabeth Sarver all my personal property after the payment of my just debts for her use during the term of her natural life. Item 5...I also will bequeath and devise to my wife Elizabeth Sarver for and during the term of her natural life all my Real Estate situated in Greene county and State of Indiana to wit; The South half of the North West quarter of section four (4) in Township Seven (7) North of Range four (4) west and the North East quarter of the South East quarter of Section five (5) Township & Range aforesaid and the following discribed tract situated in Section five (5) Township & Range aforesaid to wit; Beginning at the South East corner of the North East quarter of secion five (5) Township 7 North of Range four (4) west, thence west 138 rods, thence north to the north side of said quarter section thence East to the North East corner of said quarter tract containing 140 acres more or less. Item 6...It is my will and desire that after the death of my said wife Elizabeth Sarver, that my son Henry Harrison Sarver have and hold absolutely all my personal property herein bequeathed to my wife Elizabeth for her natural life. Item 7...I will bequeath and desire to my son Henry Harrison Sarver all my Real Estate herein described, to have and to hold to himself and his heirs forever in fee simple from and after the death of my beloved wife Elizabeth Sarver. Item 8...I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint E. H. C. Carius as executor of this my last will and testament and hereby give him full power to settle all my debts and collect all that is due me from any person whatever without the intervention of the court of common Pleas or any other court provided my said Executor is of opinion that the same may be settled without the intervention of said court to the best advantage of said Estate. In witness where of I hereunto set my hand and seal on this 27th day of September 1858. Corius took and subscirbed the following oath to wit; I Samuel R. Carius do solemly swear that I saw George Sarver sign seal publish and declare the foregoing writing to be his last will and testament that at the time of signing the foregoing will the Testator was of sound mind and disposing memory and competent to devise his property, and not under coercion or restraint, that I signed my name thereto as witness at his request and in his presence, that I am of lawful age and in no wise interested in either Real or personal estate of said Testator so help me God. After her death in Greene Co., IN he married Elizabeth Dingledien 6 March 1836.
