Hardesty Bible Although this bible is not of my Hardesty family line (as far as I know), when an acquaintance of my aunt offered me this bible, I accepted it as a piece of Hardesty family history. The book is a large 1880 pictorial publication,the old (King James) and Revised Standard versions in parallel columns; it is bound in leather, with many fully illuminated pages and woodcuts protected by onionskin flysheets. The family sheets read: Holy Matrimony was celebrated between Mr. Isaac A. Hardisty of Sheldon, Illinois and Miss Mary E. Root, of Kentland, Indiana on April 10, 1876 at Kentland, Indiana by Rev. McCane. Marriages: Nellie May Hardisty to George Christenson - June 7, 1900 Thomas Earl Hardisty married to Mildred Mitchell - January 20, 1907 Blanche Louise Christenson married to John Gillan Sumner - June 8, 1933 Marian Lucile Hardisty married to William Peck Jr. on May 9-1936 Elizabeth Jean Hardisty married to Roy B.
