A town in Hendricks county, on the Terre Haute & Indianapolis railroad, ten
miles from Danville the county seat. It is situated in a fine agricultural
county, and large quantities of grain and produce are shipped from here
annually. The House of Refuge, established by the Legislature in 1866, is
located at this place. It has a population of about 1,600.
