Trotter of the County of Hendricks and State of Indiana in consideration of two hundred dollars to him paid by Ishum Scott, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do hereby grant, bargain, sell and convey to the said Isum Scott his heirs and assigns, forever, the following Real Estate in Hendricks County and State of Indiana, and described as follows, Towit: The Southwest quarter of the SouthEast quarter of Section Six township Sixteen Range one West, estimated to contain forty acres be the same more or less together with all the privileges and appurtenances to the same belonging, To have and to hold the same, to the said Isum Scott his heirs and assigns forever. the grantor his heirs and assigns Hereby covenanting with the grantee his heirs and assigns, that the title so conveyed is clear, free, and unencumbered that he is lawfully seized of the premises as of a sure, perfect and indefeasible estate of inheritance in fee simple and that he will warrant and defend the same against all claims whatsoever. In Witness whereoff, the said Allen S Trotter and Mary Trotter his wife who hereby relinquishes her dower in said premises, have hereunto set thier (sic) hands and seals, this fifteenth day of May 1852. Faught) a Justice of the Peace in and for said County, Allen E Trotter the grantor in the above conveyance, and acknowledged the same to be his voluntary act and deed. And the said Mary Trotter wife of the said Allen S Trotter being examined by me, privately, seperate and apart from and without the hearing of her said husband, and the full contents and purport of said deed being by made known and explained, she declared that she executed the same of her own free will and accord, and without any coercion or compulsion from her husband.
