KNIGHTSTOWN.

A town of 2500 inhabitants, beautifully situated in Henry county, on the
Columbus, Chicago & Indiana Central railroad, thirty-four miles from
Indianapolis and fourteen from New Castle, the county seat. It is a pleasant and
enterprising town, doing a large business, and steadily increasing in wealth and
population. The celebrated Knightstown mineral springs are within a mile of this
place, and the State Soldiers' Home is also located here. It has five church
organizations, good graded schools, two flouring and two saw mills, and the
usual number of stores and shops.
