Richard Conway

Richard, b 1762, Queen Anne Co. Maryland. Service-Served as a pri. in Capt. 
Meal's Co. of Michael Cressap's Vir. Regt. In 1781, re-enlisted for 6 months 
under Capt Meal in Col. Holmes' Regt. On March 1, 1782 re-enlisted for 6 months 
under Capt John Simeral in Col. Holmes' Regt. Proof- Pension Claim S. 16731, 
Died 1854. Kissinger Cementery, SoutH of Mooreland, Ind. Government marker and 
S.A.R. marker, (Rev Vet buried in Indiana)

>From the abstract of Richard's Rev Pension, # S 16731- Richard Conway/Conaway, 
applied 13 Nov 1832 in Henry Co. IN, age 70 yrs. Sol enlisted Hampshire County 
VA, Sol was b in Susquehanna City MD, But was mostly raised in Hampshire County, 
VA. ONe Miles Conway was a witt for sol but no relationship to sol was stated, 
after the war sol lived in PA for 5 years then moved to Mason Co. KY for 30 
years then moved to Henry Co. IN, sol applied for BLW 14 May 1855 Henry Co. IN, 
age 95 and a Martin L. Bundy and William Grosse were witts to his aff'dt
