Eldridge to Grubbs

This Indenture witnesseth that Squire Eldridge and Mary M. Eldridge his wife 
of  Howard County in the State of Indiana convey and warrant to Wesley Grubbs 
of Howard County the state of Indiana for the sum of Four Hundred Dollars the 
following Real Estate in Howard County in the State of Indiana towit:

            Eighteen (18) acres out of the West half (1/2) of the South East 
Quarter (1/4) of Section Seventeen (17) in township No twenty three (23) North 
in Range No (2) East and described as follows ~ towit: Commencing thirty six 
(36) rods North of the South West corner of the Said West half of the South 
East Quarter of said Section thence North thirty six (36) rods, thence East 
across said land thence South thirty six (36) rods thence West to the place 
beginning.

In witness whereof the said Squire Eldridge and Mary M. Eldridge his wife have 
hereunto set their hands and seals this fifth (5th) day of September 1864.

Before me Joseph E. Hollowell a Notary Public in and for said county this fifth 
(5) day of 7th month 1864 come Squire Eldridge and Mary M. Eldridge his wife 
and acknowledged the execution of the annexed deed.
