He was married to Miss Elva Ryan about 40 years ago. To this union were born nine children, five of them with his wife preceding him to the better land. He has ever remained faithful to the pledge of his church for the past eleven years he has been afflicted with paralysis, but he has always been patient through all his intense suffering. He was a firm believer in God's work and has gone to rest with his loved ones, who have gone before. He leaves to mourn their loss four children, two step children, four grandchildren, three brothers and one sister with other relatives and friends. He departed this life May 31, 1920; age 73 years, 7 months and six days. The funeral services were held Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock at the home of his daughter. Mrs. Minnie Summers, with whom he had made his home for sometime. The interment was In the Randolph cemetery near Oakford.
