MARION PIERCE DIES
WELL KNOWN TRANSFER MAN
SUCCUMBS TO PARALYSIS'
FUNERAL WEDNESDAY,
Marion E. Pierce, aged 88 years, transfer man, living at 2145 North Jay 
street, died Sunday night at his home, following a stroke of paralysis 
suffered a week ago.
The funeral will be held Wednesday morning at 10:30 o'clock and will be 
conducted by the Rev. Wiggins of the Salvation Army.  The burial will be In 
the Puckett cemetery.  There are seven children, besides the widow surviving: 
Mrs. Ruth Beaman, city: Mrs. Pearl Boes, LaPorte; Charles and John Pierce, 
both of this city; Francis, Ethel and Howard who live at home. There are six 
grandchildren.  Brothers and sisters surviving are: Mrs. John Maber and Mrs. 
Delia DeMott of near Galveston; Mrs. Maude Reed of Lincoln, and a sister 
living near Mexico. The surviving brother  is Ira Pierce of Evansville.
