Pierce, aged 88 years, transfer man, living at 2145 North Jay street, died Sunday night at his home, following a stroke of paralysis suffered a week ago. The funeral will be held Wednesday morning at 10:30 o'clock and will be conducted by the Rev. Wiggins of the Salvation Army. The burial will be In the Puckett cemetery. There are seven children, besides the widow surviving: Mrs. Ruth Beaman, city: Mrs. Pearl Boes, LaPorte; Charles and John Pierce, both of this city; Francis, Ethel and Howard who live at home. There are six grandchildren. Brothers and sisters surviving are: Mrs. John Maber and Mrs. Delia DeMott of near Galveston; Mrs. Maude Reed of Lincoln, and a sister living near Mexico. The surviving brother is Ira Pierce of Evansville.
