Tuesday, January  23, 1945-Kokomo Tribune
John Shaffer, 72, living at 1962 North Kennedy street, died at 3:80 o'clock 
Monday afternoon at his home where he lived with a brother, Otis Shaffer. In 
the years when  he was able to work, he had been employed by the Standard 
Sanitary Pottery company and  the Globe-American corporation.  The body is at 
the Rich funeral home and the funeral will be held in the chapel there at 2:30 
o'clock Wednesday afternoon. Burial will
be in the Puckett cemetery west of Kokomo
