Kokomo Tribune, Friday, February 18, 1927
The body of Mrs. Jane Tarter, former Kokomo resident, who died in Racine, 
Wis., February 16 will arrive in Kokomo Friday night over the Pennsylvania. 
and will be taken to the home of Mrs. A. E. McFarland, 1034 South Leeds 
street. The funeral will be held Saturday morning at 10 o'clock at the 
Courtland Avenue. Friends church, followed with burial in the Randolph 
cemetery . Mrs. Tarter was the widow of John Tarter who died two years ago.  
Five children survive: Frank Tarter and Miss Julia Tarter of Indianapolis, 
Mrs. Forest Button, Mrs. Fisher Bennett and Mrs. Omer Stillwell residents of 
Wisconsin
