Died at Age of 101.
Kokomo. - Miss Eliza Williams died in this city aged 101 years and one month.
Death was due to starvation. Six weeks ago she fell and broke her hip, paralysis
of the digestive organs following. Her long life of spinsterhood was due to a
pledge given to her mother not to marry during the lifetime of the latter. Her
mother died nearly 100 years old. Miss Williams then being 80, and, as she said,
too old to marry. She was born in Connelsville, Pa., Nov. 1, 1804.
