Dr. Charles Wright was called and pronounced it apoplexy. The deceased was 78 years of age and six months and had resided in this city since last March, having come here from Peru, Miami County, where he had resided for many years.     He leaves a wife, two daughters and three sons to mourn his loss. The three sons reside in Peru, one of the daughters is in Alabama, while the other resides here, being the wife of Adam Pastor.      His death was very sudden, as he had been over in town and been home only a little over an hour, when he said that he felt chilly, and then went to rise when he fell to the floor and suddenly expired. Additional Comments: Possibly (?) interred in Mount Hope cemetery, Peru,Miami county, Indiana. Son of Wm Hagee of Pennsylvania, married 1st Ann Groth who died 1843 had two children, Ann Elizabeth survived, then 2nd Dec 1847 to Elizabeth Musselman. Moved to Maryland after daughter Emma was born, then after last five children were born moved to Peru, Indiana operating a bakery at corner Miami and 2nd street, then moving, as noted in obit, to Huntington. Ann Elizabeth married Capt Wm F M Wallick having two daughters before their deaths, he 1873, she 1877. The older, Maude Wallick (1870-1940) was my maternal grandmother.
