Lewis, 72, Warren, died at 1:15 p.m. Sunday (Oct. 25, 1981) in St. Joseph's Hospital, Fort Wayne, following a five-week illness. Mr. Lewis retired in 1974 from H.K. Porter co., as a security guard. A lifelong resident of Huntington County, he was a member of the American Legion Post 183, Warren, and a veteran of World War II. He was born July 31, 1909 in Lancaster Township to Hollis and Jennie Smith Lewis, and his marriage was on Sept. 5, 1931 in New Castle to the former Lucille C. Rittenhouse, who died Sept. 16, 1975, Survivors include three sons, Larry and James Lewis, both of Lancaster and roger Lewis, Huntington; two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Carolyn) Boyd, Lancaster and Mrs. Herman (Susan) Vogleman, Huntington; 17 grandchildren; a great- grandchildren and a sister Mrs. Opal Workman, Tampa, Fla.
