Eli T. Shortridge

Eli T. Shortridge was born 19 May, 1839, in Jackson county, Indiana (now Brown 
Co) to George Shortridge Sr. and Rebecca Elkins. He married 10 Jan 1861, 
Jackson county, to Hannah E. Elkins, born 1841, Jackson Co.. Daughter of Joseph 
Elkins and Tabitha Ferguson. Eli T. Shortridge and Hannah E. Elkins had 4 
children born in Jackson county, Canzada,1861, Laura, 1868, Pearly May, 1873, 
and James A., 1879.

Canzada Shortridge married Tobias Cordell; Laura Shortridge, married William 
Bland; Pearly May Shortridge, married John Akers.

Eli T. died 1-14-1909, at age 70, and is buried at Bagwell Cem., Owen twp., 
Jackson Co., Ind. Hannah died in 1910, Ind. and is buried at Bagwell Cem. also.



Additional Comments:
Eli T. was my GG grandfather. Joseph Elkins my GGG grandfather, son of William 
Elkins and Rhoda Stevens.
