Dicy Ann Shortridge
Born 1835, Jackson Co., Indiana, the daughter of Andrew Shortridge. Dicy 
married 6-4-1854, Jackson Co, Indiana, to Calvin B. Williams, born 10-23-1831, 
in Ohio. Ten children were born to them in Jackson Co., William, James Lazwell, 
John Meredith, Cyrus L., George Benton, Calvin Brady, Henry Sherman, Sophia 
Margaret, Robert Cary, and Lewis Elmer.
Dicy died in 1882 of Typhoid fever, Owen twp., in Jackson county. As did her 
son, Lewis Elmer, on March 12th,age 6, and Calvin Brady Shortridge, March 19th, 
age 15. Dicy's sisters, Rebecca Shortridge, wife of Thomas Callahan; and 
Elizabeth Shortridge, wife of Henry Williams, died also of Typhoid fever in 
1882.
