Jackson County Indiana news "Miss Sarah SUTHERLAND, age 72 years, passed away at the home of her sister, Miss Ida SUTHERLAND, in Medora, Tuesday night, January 8, 1935. She had been ill with paralysis for two weeks. Deceased was the daughter of David and Caroline SUTHERLAND. She was born near Medor March 25, 1862, and spent nearly all her life in Jackson county. For the past year she had made her home with her brother, Alva, at Medora. She was a member of the Leesville Methodist church. A brother, Alva SUTHERLAND and sister, Miss Ida SUTHERLAND, survive. Funeral services were conducted at the home Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock with the Rev. John ASHER in charge. Burial in the Leesville cemetery." ----------------- "The many friends of Murle HUNSUCKER and Dorothy WEBER were much surprised when they announced their wedding which took place at Louisville, Sept. 23, 1933. The groom is the oldest son of Mallie HUNSUCKER, and a graduate of the Medora high school with the class of 1930. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Lewis Carr and is a Junior in the Medora high school.
